Erm...a bit hazy as per the details of last nights gig, I think I was drinking outside when Hawkwind were playing. Anthrax played enough old tunes for me to fight my way to the front, and enough new ones for me to fuck off outside for another beer.

Motorhead were Motorhead, really. Not as loud as they used to be due to new council rules. Top stuff, though. Lemmy is age-less.

Live, they just didn't compare either. Caught in a Mosh was fucking superb to hear, John Bush is so much better than Joey! But the new stuff? Nah...

To tell the truth, I was outside the door for the last half of their set, supping my warm flat beer. I honestly thought it was the opening act, some German Rammstein-esque band since they were playing some very fast techno stuff, which we thought a bunch of old men wouldn't be able to do.

Then again, even an incontinant Geriatric can flick the tempo knob on his drum machine to FAST.

Was it just me or did Anthrax deliberatley cut out every guitar solo? And I was gutted we didnt get Scott Not Ian's intro to Gung Ho???? 1st time i've seen John and he did just fine.

Shame about their tour shirts though??? I've got one just like that from the ATL tour in the early 90's.
