I am on Tom Morello's side. Why doesnt Billy Milano get together with Ted Nugent and go kill some peacefull Animals or something? All them guys have is BLOOD in theyre eyes and on theyre hands anyways! King Kula Officially Condemns the Imperialist American President Bush. I am from Texas and i know first hand how Power-Hungry that family is. And the Child-Starving, War-Mongering Republican Party too! Well... At Least theres a new VOIVOD CD coming soon. Lets hope it gets here before Bush kills us all.

I read a thread about Milano's statement on another site, and the main point those who side with Morello and Tankian were trying to make was essentially 'I feel bad for the innocent people who died at the WTC, but Americans really need to take responsibility and understand why it happened'. In other words, America deserved it. That, to me, is the same argument as 'she deserved to get raped because she drank too much and wore a short skirt'. In other words, UTTER BULLSHIT. America is 100% pure and good? Of course not. A bit too superficial, self-obsessed and money-hungry? Sure. But to anyone who whinges and goes on about how much America blows, go live in Iraq and tell me how much freedom you have under Hussein's regime. Go live in India among men who routinely kill their wives and go unpunished. And if you're a female on the side of the Morellos and Tankians - go live where you get to wear a Burqa every day and where goats are prized more highly than you. I don't think I ever heard Rage write a tune about that. **hopping off the soapbox** Don't mean to bring down the overall good-time vibe of the site (and a great site it is, warcorspe!), but this is a touchy subject. I hope to see a bunch more responses on this topic, whether or not you agree with me or not. Cheers!

I'm A Bad American by Ted Nugent I like big trucks, big boats, big houses, and naturally, pretty women. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some midlevel governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies. I don't care about appearing compassionate. I think playing with toy guns doesn't make you a killer - I believe ignoring your kids and giving them Prozac might. I think I'm doing better than the homeless. I don't think being a minority makes you noble or victimized. I have the right not to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird or make me mad. This is my life to live, and not necessarily up to others expectations. I know what SEX is and there are not varying degrees of it. I don't celebrate Kwanzaa. But if you want to that's fine; just don't feel like everyone else should have to. I believe that if you are selling me a Dairy Queen shake, a pack of cigarettes, or hotel room you do it in English. As of matter of fact, if you are an American citizen you should speak English. My uncles and forefathers shouldn't have had to die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come disrespect ours, and make us bend to your will. Get over it. I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry butt if you're running from them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word 'freeze' or 'stop' in English, see the previous line. I don't use the excuse "it's for the children" as a shield for unpopular opinions or actions. I know how to count votes and I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation do a recount when needed. I know what the definition of lying is, and it isn't based on the word "is" -- ever. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you qualify for any special loan programs, gov't sponsored bank loans, etc., so you can open a hotel, 7-Eleven, trinket shop, or any [****] thing else, while the indigenous peoples can't get past a high school education because they can't afford it. I didn't take the initiative in inventing the Internet. I thought the Taco Bell dog was funny. I want them to bring back safe and sane fireworks. I believe no one ever died because of something Ozzy Osbourne, Ice-T or Marilyn Manson sang, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to that crap from someone else's car when I'm stopped at a red light. But I respect your right to. I think that being a student doesn't give you any more enlightenment than working at Blockbuster or Jack In The Box. I don't want to eat or drink anything with the words light, lite or fat-free on the package. Our soldiers did not go to some foreign country and risk their lives in vain and defend our Constitution so that decades later you can tell me it's a living document ever changing and is open to interpretation. The guys who wrote it were light years ahead of anyone today, and they meant what they said -- now leave the document alone, or there's going to be trouble. I don't hate the rich. I help the poor. I know wrestling is fake. I've never owned, or was a slave, and a large percentage of our forefathers weren't wealthy enough to own one either. Please stop blaming me because some prior white people were idiots -- and remember, tons of white, Indian, Chinese, and other races have been enslaved too -- it was wrong for every one of them. I believe a self-righteous liberal with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude. I want to know exactly which church is it where the "Reverend" Jessie Jackson preaches; and, what exactly is his job function. I own a gun, you can own a gun, and any red blooded American should be allowed to own a gun, but if you use it in a crime, then you will serve the time. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it makes you mad, then invent the next operating system that's better and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that invented the Internet to help you. I don't believe in hate crime legislation. Even suggesting it makes me mad. You're telling me that someone who is a minority, gay, disabled, another nationality, or otherwise different from the mainstream of this country has more value as a human being that I do as a white male. [****], if someone kills anyone, I'd say that it's a hate crime. We don't need more laws! Let's enforce the ones we already have. I think turkey bacon, turkey beef, turkey fake anything sucks. I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child -- it takes a parent with the [****] (guts) to stand up to the kid and spank his butt and say "NO!" when it's necessary to do so. I'll admit that the only movie that ever made me cry was Ole Yeller. I didn't realize Dr. Seuss was a genius until I had a kid. I will not be frowned upon or be looked down upon or be made to keep silent because I have these beliefs and opinions. I thought this country allowed me that right. I will not conform or compromise just to keep from hurting somebody's feelings. I'm neither angry nor disenfranchised, no matter how desperately the mainstream media would like the world to believe otherwise. Yes, I guess by some people's definition, I may be a bad American. But that's tough written by Ted Nugent, the rock singer __________________

Err... A bit??? I'd include arrogant in that small list as well. Tell me about they prohibiting Canada from buying Brazilian chicken (chicken, for God's sake!), because it was cheaper than theirs. Also tell me about them prohibiting (yes, this IS the right word) Canada or UK from building better planes than theirs. Tell me of their companies selling F-16 to Chile, just for the planes to be parked forever on Chilean hangars, because US do not let their aircraft companies sell the compatible armament for them. The list goes forever, and, for the ones who claim this is not true, try to read regularly any non-US news site on the net, if you think they are worth to. So, people, please do not compare the US situation with the situation of a raped woman (whose fault on the thing is none, BTW). One thing has nothing to do with the other. No more words from me on this subject. I hate politics, and I don't want to spoil the cool vibe on this forum, as Kane correctly pointed.

Mezcalhead...and the rest of you War-Mongering Republicans of the Empire known as the United Socialist States of Amerika (U.S.S.A.)...From Blabbermouth- SYSTEM OF A DOWN's SERJ TANKIAN Not Down With War In Iraq - Dec. 12, 2002 SYSTEM OF A DOWN vocalist Serj Tankian is not in favor of the U.S. going to war with Iraq. He told Launch there are plenty of countries that don't pose a realistic threat to the United States, which he equates with an empire. "When was the last time Iraq attacked America? OK? When was the last time Libya or Panama attacked America? When was the last time Grenada attacked America? When was the last time Nicaragua attacked America? When was the last time El Salvador attacked America? Chile, when was the last time Chile attacked America? We have troops in all these countries. When was the last time they attacked us?" Tankian believes American's foreign policy is all about business. "We've got to really, really, understand what's going on here. What's going on here is a pursuit of business of business abroad, not for you and I's sake, but for major multinationals who aren't even employing American employees anymore who are opening shop in Indonesia and elsewhere because labor is cheaper, in Mexico, et cetera, et cetera. I wouldn't even call them American companies anymore. Our government works for them and not us." "And the damage that we're doing by overthrowing democracies... And if you want examples you can start with Iran in 1950 with the Mohammed [Mossadegh] government, who was the prime minister, during the Mohammed [Mossadegh] era, and we overthrew that and put a king there. That's the CIA's work. We put a king in a democracy, for God's sake." ::: I agree with him 100%. What he says is Factually correct. Are you willing to admit that?

Oops, I need my soapbox again... Essentially, we are threatening to act against a country with a leader who IN FACT is a murderer, rapist, has ordered the deaths of members of his own family, routinely employs torture against his enemies, and about 10 years ago tried to seize Kuwait by force. Why the hell doesn't Sheryl Crow wear a T-Shirt on national TV that says 'F Sadaam' instead of one that reads 'I don't believe in your war, Mr. Bush'? She, and anyone else has every right to hate the thought of having to go to war. I sure do. The thought of thousands of innocent Iraqis (in this case) dying turns my stomach. However, the thought of Sadaam Hussein making one hundred suitcase nukes and sending them over to the States well-hidden in cargo containers on boats doesn't sit well with me either. Neither does coming down with a neat little case of Smallpox. You know what happened the last time the US 'minded their own business' on a troublesome issue? Genocide. Heard of Slobodan (sp?) Milosevic? If we had acted early on in that horrible crisis, thousands - shit, MILLIONS - of people wouldn't have been buried in mass graves. I'm sure if we HAD been proactive, there would have been lots of people protesting, never knowing that the war they were so against might have actually saved lives. I argue that not all war is bad. There are honorable wars and pointless wars. Vietnam? As pointless and tragic as there ever was. World War II? Honorable. Can you argue against that? Should we have ignored Hitler's rise to power? Granted, we came into it a little late, but helped bring him down, nonetheless. I hate the thought of HAVING TO GO to war, but I don't hate war. (puts soapbox away again) ... and I love puppies
