Hey I know you've got to be one of the most "open-minded" people in the world when it comes to music! Besides the Lemonheads, the only others on that list worth mentioning would be The Breeders, Janes Addiction, and the Violent Femmes. Although I've got to admit that I've never heard of "Angel Rat" before, are they good?

Look girls, I'm not saying I disagree on any level with discussing non-Voivod, even non-metal bands ever with anybody. We all go through that "look at how open minded I am about music" phase when we look at our music collections and see things together that don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. I just wasn't sure how likely it would be that anyone else here would be into Evan Dando. And if we're going to try to out-weird each other with our musical tastes and influences, maybe we should make it a seperate thread? I'm sure it's already been beaten to death at some point in the past. I'll tell Julianna you said hi, Noitall. One thing I can say about her - she certainly eats a lot of Stew. I just hope she doesn't find out about my girlfriend Cathy Dennis.

I remember seeing the Lemonheads(aka the 'Evan Dando' band) the last time in '96, and I was really happy to see them "downgraded" to playing a bar (the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle) it was up close in personal for a change. Also it was nice to not see all of the "teeny-boppers" for a change, as it wasn't a huge all-ages show, but instead, it was a small 21+ show. Of course, I'm sure that all of the "so-called" teeny-boppers back then were probably still the same ones in back in '96, only a little older now. I remember saying "hi" to Evan as he was leaving the bar, going straight for his bus outside. He was very friendly, but he didn't waste anytime getting to the bus, infact as soon as their set was over, he "practically" stage-dove into the crowd to beat everyone out the door. Of course once he got to it...there were a whole bunch of teeny-boppers waiting for him!
