VH-1 has been doing those 'I Love the 80's' shows like crazy this past week, and I caught the Headbangers Ball segment in the 1989 episode. It made me remember wayyyyy back when the show was on and I'd tune in to see if they'd actually play a decent video in the last 30-45 minutes of the show. Sometimes you'd catch the 'Betrayer' video by Kreator, 'Masked Jackal' by Coroner, 'Seemingly Endless Time' by Death Angel, etc.One night in particular I was watching as Adam Curry premiered 'Psychic Vacuum'. Did he butcher the band's name? Naturally. It went kinda like this:
"And now here's the latest video from cyber-thrashers Voi Void".
Puke. Well, at least they were playing something good. I think I actually have a viedotape somewhere of this show. I'll have to check around for it. Maybe even donate it to the vast VVF video archives.

I'm positive that I taped that episode. The tape probably looks rough though. Curry had that perfect hair and a leather jacket for the Headbangers Ball. He just didnt know we were laughing like crazy at him.

I also taped that very episode and still have... well, all I have is the actual Voivod part with a tiny snippet of Curry at the beginning.
Trivia for nerds: What video follows Psychic Vacuum on that particular episode of Headbanger's Ball?
Hint: It's close, but it ain't "18 And Life". More proof that MTV just never 'got it'.
