I'm rather surprised by the number of decent Metal shows that are coming to my neck of the woods. We don't usually get to many, but his year things seem to be changing. April 6 - Into Eternity April 8 - Queens Of The Stone Age April 9 - Strapping Young Lad April 22 - Motorhead & C.O.C. May 13 - Agnostic Front June 8 - Deicide, Immolation, Misery Index, Skinless Sept 5 - Therion I'm for sure going to Into Eternity, SYL, Immolation and Therion, but sadly QOTSA and Motorhead sold out already. Agnostic Front is probably a no coz our new baby is due May 6th. What's coming to your city?

May 3-Motorhead and 3 Inches of Crap.Of course, since barely any good bands come here at all on any sort of a regular basis ,it only makes sense that on the same fucking day as that show Death From Above 1979 are playing a small shithole club across town. Bah, a lot of cool tours goin' round and all we get is Kreator with fukkin' Tristania, for God's sake! Bah!I mean, I love Kreator of course, but Tristania??? Come on!!! Looks like Hammerfall and Carpathian Forest are coming in the near future as well, so the future looks not so bright... -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." I just returned from Philly where I saw BLACKFIELD, and it was INCREDIBLE. The entire band couldn't make it over because of our stupid immigration laws so it was just going to be Steve Wilson and Aviv Geffen doing an acoustic show with SW opening with a cool short set; however, Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater contacted Steve and asked if he could play keyboards for the shows which he did and he really filled out the sound and made for one spectacular and special event. I got to breifly chat with Jordan after the show and thanked him for filling in.More bands coming to the Balto/DC/Philly area include Motorhead/COC Overkill Porcupine Tree with Blackfield opening (Steve Wilson will be on stage all damn since he's in both bands. don't know how many shows I'll get to this year but the PT gig is a religious holiday for me. I'd love to see Overkill, and does anyone know if the MOtorhead COC tour is a double headliner or is COC opening and only gets a limited amount of time to play. -------------------- yawn
