According to King Fowley (singer for Deceased, acquaintance of the band back in the mid 80's):

The new LP is to be called 'KATORZ'...

SOME TITLES FOR IT ARE.........

X-tremists, After All, General Purpose Cleaing, Red My Mind, Odds & Frauds,
The Get Away, God Phones, Krap Radio...

Maybe they'll stick around and record KANZ!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if "Katorz" is some sort of joke.

Sounds like progress is being made, though, which is a definite plus.

Makes sense. Katorz = quatorze (Fourteen in french)... 14th album. Brilliant.

Then why not "Kinz", "Seiz", "Disset", "Dizuït", "Diznuts"...

Cool news! Katorz, that's nice! Reminds me of "Dimension Hätross", "hatross" being a way of writing the french word "atroce", which means atrocious.

Notice the title "The Get Away". Hehe, I just picture the other guys pointing Away, saying "Get him!"

The ball is finally rolling again. Katorz seems like a good title, some of the titels remind me of the latest album though

Cool! Some fucking news already. I hope things are going well in the Vod camp. I still say they took WAY too long between the last album and this, but the last few albums had big gaps of time between them.

Here are some Album Titles they should think about:

Fans? What Fans?
We have a Website?
We ran out of Ideas, so here's whats left.
The Stonerverse.
We hate ourselves.
We hate what few fans we have left.
This is the last Voivod Album ever.

I gave up on Voivod long ago due to neglect.
Even a Polish Polka band has better communication with theyre fanbase.

Very deep down inside i have those feelings to, you know. But i still have some hopes the next album will take away that feelings. Communicating with their fans never was their strongest point i guess. Communicate through the best album ever then!!!! I would be extremely dissapointed if the next album turns out te be like the 13th one.

The title "Katorz" sounded a bit weird at first, but now that I know that it means "14" I find it cool.

However, it might point out a certain lack of inspiration around the Voivodland. The last album was a s/t and now they'll come up with a numbered one?

Album title aside, it's great news that a new CD is actually in the works. I, for one, think that the 2-year gap between the records should've helped them writing more complex sounds. Let's keep in mind that when the s/t was crafted, Snake was just getting back and Newsted was still a newbie.
