QUESTION: As their bass player has gone AWOL, do you think he will bother to turn up when they start mixing the album? Now that he is not surrounded by control freaks you'd think he'd make the effort.

I'm sure Newsted will be there when he needs to be there to lay down his parts. There's no reason for him to be there all the time since Glen is at the helm and they already have the music Piggy wrote. It's not like they can all get together and jam and write new tunes. Fortunately for everyone Denis left behind a legacy to be completed.

I'm "assuming" that his bass tracks are good enough to keep from the demo sessions??? The guitar tracks were from the demo sessions (minus a few corrections that Piggy had made before his passing) I think I know this to be true from Away's blog stating he had to "play over" the scratch drums...which would seem to mean those were demo-tracks as well...also more importantly: extremely difficult to do, imho! Hats off to Away!!
