Hi, kids. I am going to borrow this forum for some self promoting crap. So please bear with me. I, Brian Walsby, am getting ready to release my second comic book entitled
MANCHILD 2: THE SECOND COMING. It is going to be put out by the handsome and Italian Charles Cardello of Bifocal Media fame, a wonderful audio/video company. The book will officially hit the stores on July 11, and will be distributed by both Lumberjack/Mordam and AK Press, so that is nice. I will also be selling it on my own site as well.
I feel like an idiot talking about my own endeavors but I think this book is at least three times better then my first one, a lot more focused and universal in its appeal. This means every cartoon doesn’t start off with me talking about some eighties hardcore moment in a Harvey Pekar type way. Don’t worry; it is still funny (I hope).Some of the more typical music nerd contents include pieces about SST Records, the Descendents, going back to high school armed with the knowledge you gain as an adult, Peter Laughner, tributes to John Brannon, Piggy from Voivod, Randy Turner of the Big Boys, Die Kreuzen, the Neos, the legacy of Ronald Reagan, Mystic Records, having my family confiscate and burn my copy of the first Christian Death record when I was a kid, and a whole lot more.
