NEGATIVA, the new Quebec, Canada-based metal band featuring former GORGUTS members Steeve Hurdle (guitar, vocals) and Luc Lemay (guitar, vocals), along with Etienne Gallo (drums, ex-AUGURY) and Miguel Valade (bass, ex-ION DISSONANCE), has issued the following update:"The last few weeks have been very thrilling for us as we have finally arranged to enter studio in mid-September to record three songs. We will again be working with our old friend Pierre Remillard but this time it will be at his famous Wild Studio. Pierre has produced GORGUTS' very first demo, 'And Then Comes Lividity', back in 1989, plus the albums 'Obscura' in 1998 and 'From Wisdom To Hate' in 2001. He will be assisted by none other than Jean-Yves Theriault, a.k.a. Blacky and former VOÏVOD. We will be more than honored to work with him in the studio. At the end of September, expect a MySpace page for you to, at last, listen to our music." Songtitles set to appear on the mini-CD are "Chaos in Motion", "Taedium Vitae" and "Rebellion".

NEGATIVA, the Quebec-based band featuring former GORGUTS members Steeve Hurdle (guitar, vocals) and Luc Lemay (guitar, vocals), along with Etienne Gallo (drums, ex-AUGURY) and Miguel Valade (bass, ex-ION DISSONANCE), has finished recording three songs at Wild Studio with producers Pierre Remillard and Jean-Yves Theriault (a.k.a. Blacky, former bassist of VOIVOD).Commented Hurdle: "We're back from the studio and we're more pumped than ever. We had an amazing experience working with Pierre again who knows exactly how to get the best out of us. Having the chance to work also with Jean-Yves was great and we're so honored to have had this opportunity. The production is fucking huge!!!!! Pierre and Jean-Yves have captured the true essence of our music and made it sound loud and clear. The feeling of being there was so overwhelming for all of us and we had such a good time too. The bond between us is better than ever and we're looking forward to write more crazy stuff." Songtitles set to appear on the mini-CD are "Chaos in Motion" (4:35), "Taedium Vitae" (9:32) and "Rebellion" (6:11). The album will be available in November via Prodisk as a limited-edition of 1,000 copies. The disc will also contain enhanced material including video footage and photos taken during the recording sessions.
