Yes, 1986 was a sad year. Both Phil Lynott and Cliff Burton died.

20 years!!!! Damn we're getting old. It would be curious to hear what Metallica would have sounded like if Cliff had never died. He had way more influence on the band than Jason was ever allowed to contribute.

I wonder if Cliff is jamming with Piggy right now, on some kind of heavenly 4-track machine. What I would give to hear the demos of those two unique musicians creating stuff together...
