Inside job, don't think so, unless some crazy person did it, but imagine half a million songs lost, they apparently got 150 millions from Universal studio, but nothing for the artists, seem totally unfair. But also since VV always been in the red with MCA this mean we wouldn't get anything other then taking it off on the recouped. Anyway I'm still waiting for an answer. It's all very slow and complicated dealing with label. But I won't give up, basically every penny that is own to me, I wanted it, just a question of principle, I suppose. Some people will argue that I should just move on and forget about the pass. I understand and agree to a certain extend, life is life hey! But somethings can't be forgotten, I didn't expect in the 80's to get rich and famous with the band, perhaps other did and I respect that. Today it is a fight to the last man standing right! j/k....to the death! It is my rights after all. Like posting on this forum, anybody can and people should give their opinion. I do. Cheers Harry, miss you!

Hi guys, I finally received an answer last week in regard of that incident. Hi Jean-Yves, I hope you’re well. Many thanks for your patience as we worked through the vault research to determine if any Voivod recording were lost. Here are the findings of the research: We have 29 assets in our archives related to the performances of Voivod. No audio or video assets were lost in the fire. We did identify some artwork based on an old index that may have been affected by the fire. However, this material may simply have been disposed of in the regular course of business as it appears to be mostly for sales solicitations, advertisements, cassette inserts and CD labels. I hope this info is helpful, please let me know if you have any questions Thanks Pat

Yeap Angel Rat should be remixed. What you guys think? When I did the very quick remaster of the demo a while back before putting it available to anyone, I though that the whole album should have sounded like that and it is still possible. Voivod has never been in my book a clean cut band you know! LOL When we work on Target Earth, Century Media ask us if we would like to work with Sanford, I was more then please, cause I knew that he would do a dirty more obscure mix and that is pretty much what he did, although I would have like to be even more nasty, but the other guys in the band had a say (of course) and they were sort of scare of a too extreme approach. Their new album is just the proof of that, it's like night and day between the two, I'm not even talking musically which to me is simply a other regular band type of writing, but the production is lacking originality and it does not sound very Voivodish to me, I don't like it. They did better works in the 90's but that was Piggy, Banane is simply emulating musically, he was better doing his own band, also I find the drumming boring like hell, but that what Away has been doing for over 25 years anyway. When you don't create music it is hard to be worthy!

Remix please and thank you! Make that album METAL, not the glossy disappointment we've been forced to try to enjoy!Of course, if the "powers that be" didn't agree to it, it would be interesting even if it were accidentally leaked onto the internet. Merry Christmas / Happy new year one and all! All the best, PAULIE -------------------- Voivoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood! ----------------- DIMESLAND http://youtu.be/2LtFOX6JdVo
