Yeah yeah, I saw the post on the VV facebook, this is a funny way to resolve an issue. In any case we at Minemine Records are continuing the good work, some more stuff is coming out. All those releases are very good in quality and many of those are unique and I, original member of the band, never discarded anything, good or bad, but I'm here to make sure the good stuff get out, so if you are a VV fan that stuff is for you.

I just realize a small error in the credits of Specimen. Ok it was not an error I was just nice enough to put all the names of the members that recorded the official release, which has been recorded in LA. This demo was done all by Piggy himself, I mean guitar, bass and also the drum. That was programmed on his Alesis HR-16. Snake did all the singing on it. I remember back in the days of Angel Rat, he came at our studio with a tape that he did that had even songs that he sang also. But that recording is now gone I'm afraid.

Only just got around to spinning Latitude. Busy year! Is there a story behind Envoye? Just a little something recorded around the time? Curious minds need to know!

That Latitude demo was recorded in our appartement, the one on top of the topless bar own by some biker. Just after we signed with Mechanics/MCA I was pushing for all of us to move out of that place. Basically to ease tension or simply to prevent tension between each of us, already Snake wasn't leaving there much b then. So anyway we finally all agree, I move out with my friend JF and Piggy with Michel a old time friend of his. Then a few weeks later we started the US tour with Sound Garden. A week or so in the middle of the tour, with got news that our old place was burn down. The biker war was officially started I presume. Someone can into the club below and throw a molotov cocktail burning the place down. One we got the news, everybody in the band look at me and said that I did well to push for us to moved out of that place. Back to the recording that was fun, the control room was in my bedroom, guitar and bass stack in the bathrooms, we had two bathroom which was perfect, so in each respective tubs. Away's drum was in his bedroom, he had the biggest bedroom at that point. Snake vocal was done in over dub. that was recorded on a 8 tracks, I only have the last track of that recording in multitrack, simply because we used that tape later on to do some more crazy recording stuff, some of which appear on both Latitude and Periscope. So only cosmic drama that I was able to remix, all the other came from a cassette tape with a bunch of edit of course, then I master the whole thing for vinyl. We never did a preprod for KT tho! for a long time I thought that we did but my memory was a bit confused about that era, so Latitude was our first real pre-production demo. I do have some reheasing tapes about the KT era but it ain't that good, I may bring that out at some point, we'll see.
