Ok, this is an extremely self-indulgent and ultimately pointless thread... but if you could have any guitar you wanted, gift wrapped and delivered to your front door tomorrow, what would it be?!

I'd choose this:

Gibson Les Paul SG Custom ... in white.

I think Piggy has something similar too.

mmmmm Guitars...

Here's my newest addition - so I can play our songs in dropped D tuning live - and also covers of Nanoman and Disciple.

sorry its upright and not landscape - but it makes me upright looking at it!

Well I quite liked the look of this, a PRS Billy Martin. But then I found out who Billy Martin plays for. It's a lovely guitar but for fucks sake.

They look nice Mez. What tuning do you run the baby on?

I really like mine, runs D as in Death. The neck is great. Would prefer to have it without the tremolo though.
I also wish i was better at playing the damn thing, but at it feels good having the stuff around

I can't live without one!

I road tested teh above pictured BC Rich at the weekend - and despite it doing justice to Nanoman, life felt really claustrophibic without the whammy bar!

I like pitch lowering as much as I like string bending! Even though my old guitar is superior, I have a soft spot for the warlock, as it looks sweet and sounds nasty!

Watching your video for 'red lamps' right now. Hell of a nice solo man! Good song, though the live sound was pretty rough. Understandble though. Man, was hoping to see your baby in action though. What is that you're playing there? Looks like a Jackson?

Cheers dude!

Naah not a jackson - just a hohner ST scorpion. Got a decent trem on it - and of course a pointy headstock.

Bought it for £110 in 1987 when I was in school!

The Warlock - £92 in 2005!

An inverse economic disparity provided by the passing of 18 years and of course, Ebay.

And the solo - made it up on the spot. I didn't write the song originally, so I just played something fast metal and slightly silly.

Now I'm freed from the locking nuts and things - it's opened up a whole world of dropped D metal mayhem!

Got a few gigs coming up where I'll be christening the Warlock - so we should get pics and vids from them... And a cover of Nanoman too.

A friend of mine has an SG custom, in red though (i think) says its the best guitar he's ever played.
